Mossel Bay brings the Light into 100’s of workplaces

“We have a group of about 35 passionate assistant workers who want to spread the Word to approximately 250 organisations from Grootbrakrivier to Danabaai,” says Stephna Maree, Administrative Officer of Industrial Ministry in Mossel Bay. “We are also well supported by most of the organisations here and the employers welcome Industrial Ministry; they can see the difference it makes in their employees’ lives.

“We also have a farm ministry that visits farming communities; many farm workers testify how this ministry has already changed their lives,” says Stephna.

Mossel Bay’s Industrial Ministry hosts an annual appreciation reception (with a guest speaker from the community) for their donors; without their financial support Industrial Ministry would not be able to impact the community to the same extent that they currently do.

The spiritual worker, Pierre Lamprecht, will also host a discipleship dinner for businessmen in June with the goal being to introduce Industrial Ministry Mossel Bay to more people/organisations. They also organise an annual golf day in October that is very well supported by golf players and organisations.

The big news is that Chum Botha, one of their volunteers, also visits the Haven Night Shelter on a regular basis. He tells us, “After ministering at the Haven Night Shelter one evening, one of the men approached me for help. He told me that he murdered his wife and that he served 20 years in prison as a result.

“He wanted me to pray that he will get a job and I prayed with him there and then. A week later the man testified that ‘your God’ had provided him with a job!”

We pray for this avid and enthusiastic team who also has a prayer group who meets every first Wednesday of the month to pray for all the businesses, the employees and Industrial Ministry’s assistant workers.
